About

Studio 1210 is the informal name of a small recording studio buried in the suburbs of Cary, NC. It serves as a woodshed for my ongoing music projects, and recording studio for friends and like-minded musicians in the triangle area.

It is a moderate but adequately sized place for recording bands with up to 5-6 members, consists of a live room for the drumset, three isolation rooms for individual acoustic instruments / vocals, and a separate control room and listening area upstairs. The entire space is acoustically treated to provide good sound absorption suitable for live tracking and post-production work.

Work

The Calderas

Recorded in early 2019, The Calderas debut album, "Opus" is a heavy take on spaghetti-western meets 60s-era instrumental surf rock.

The Out of Limits

Recorded July 2017, The Out of Limits' second album "Drinking Scotch from the Skull of John the Baptist with the Gunman from the Grassy Knoll" was a lot of fun to record and produce. "Instrumental surf punk from outer space" might be too underserving as a description.

N4HC

Not For Human Consumption is an experimental free jazz project. Studio 1210 served as an incubation place and woodshed for N4HC for most of 2016.
